These wine blends are unrelenting, made by a veteran winemaker that plays by no rules when it comes to these two wines. Stepping out of the boundaries of
traditional and bringing a everyday table wine to consumers that will push the
limits of enjoyment: Unrestrained. Unrestricted. Uncensored.
The Uncensored White is a combination of Viognier, Riesling, Chenin Blanc,
Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Skillfully blended to create a seamless flavor,
but not without complexity. The wine is also fermented in stainless steel which
lends to the amazing floral aromatics and somewhat optimizes the subtleness of
each varietal. In addition to floral notes, the Uncensored White has a buttery,
tropical fruit nose full of pineapple, passion fruit and banana. On the palate
it is dry and crisp with another hint of floral lavender. Passion fruit,
pineapple, pear, mango and a slight lemon and lime come around again on the
tongue. A round mouthfeel full of fruit and balanced acidity. Really great
sipper and would pair nicely with salads containing light acidity and with
fruits and cheese platters.
The Uncensored Red is truly, “Uncensored”. A combination of Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel. Is there room for any other red varietals? I say not! This red blend will knock your socks off and “Character” is it’s middle name. A beautiful dark Aubergine purple with a rich, tobacco smoke and blackberry jam nose. A tastebud sensation of big juicy blackberries, raspberries and a robustness of burnt toast with spices of cinnamon and nutmeg. A little chocolate hint mid-palate with some great acidity making it balanced and food worthy. An awesome red blend to match up with weeknight meals of hamburgers, pizza or BBQ. This wine will pair with anything and everything and it tastes great on its
I’m scoring both the Uncensored White and the Uncensored Red with a FOUR BOTTLE Rating. They retail for $14.00 a bottle, which is truly a value, once you’ve tasted them. When you’re looking for some great table blends for everyday, for company, even gift giving look to “Un-restrict” yourself from the boring and mundane. Pick up a few bottles of Uncensored Red and Uncensored White by Geyser Peak and find yourself stepping outside the boundaries of blends!
